...this is a quick and easy french message board that you can whip up in a few minutes, using material you've got at home: * an old canvas * a kitchen towel * some yarn * some cushion stuffing * a hammer * some upholstery nails * i decided against that idea real fast * a glue gun * a stapler *
...it was an old family portrait printed on a canvas that nobody wanted anymore...
...ah, yes.... a glue gun was definitely easier.... just pad your canvas, cover it with your kitchen towel, flip it over, pull it taut, glue it neatly into place...
...just like this...
...and like this...
...flip it over again, smooth it out, get ready to do some stapling...
...i just eyeballed it, no measuring, just criss-crossed the yarn diagonally across the canvas & stapled the ends onto the back of the canvas frame...
...there you have it... but now that i'm looking at it i'm thinking it's missing some buttons at the intersections! ...back to the drawing board... you get the idea though, easy!
have fun!

Nice way to recycle the canvas. I've used ribbon before and it works pretty well too. Then it's wide enough for buttons or I poked holes and used brads.
