Navigate This Life Confidently
“A good woman knows that she does not have enough time, energy, or opportunity to take care of all of the people or do all of the worthy things her heart yearns to do. Life is not calm for most women, and each day seems to require the accomplishment of a million things, most of which are important. A good woman must constantly resist alluring and deceptive messages from many sources telling her that she is entitled to more time away from her responsibilities and that she deserves a life of greater ease and independence. But with personal revelation, she can prioritize correctly and navigate this life confidently. The ability to qualify for, receive, and act on personal revelation is the single most important skill that can be acquired in this life." —Julie B. Beck (Ensign, May 2010, 10-11)

What a great reminder! My priorities need some definite adjusting! If you had to prioritize the way you really do things in your life, how would your list compare to the ones above? I think I'll print and keep these lists close to me as I plan my days and as a constant reminder as I live my days! I know in my heart it will bring the serenity I yearn for!

Beautiful. And ouch. Some of the Nice To-Dos seem to get out of place in my life sometimes. :/
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder.
I needed this reminder today! Thanks for taking the time to share it, Marie. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this Maria! I think I'll have to print that picture of Mary and Martha with that quote from Julie B. Beck, frame it and put it in my kitchen!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I'm already feeling the panic of Christmas. I was the only one out of three classes who showed up at school today for Jane's Christmas party planning meeting. UGH! I do NOT want to be in charge of that! This is a great way to help keep it all in it's place. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great reminder!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you & your darling family!
