These are my brother Andrew's creation.
First time I ever ate oysters this way and I loved them.
For a basic tutorial, see photos below.

My family also kept other good things on the grill: steaks, chicken, tortillas...
Here's Mike fishing in an oyster.
No fishing line required.
In mid-air.
Out of my mom's hand.
Gorgeous but HOT HOT HOT sun.
Like unbearably hot.
My parents with my sister Roberta and her little boy Samuel and my brother Mike.
Cooling of in the river was of necessity.
Elijah the ham.
Me the ham.
My parents the hams.
Are they cute, or what?
Roberta with her darling precocious lightning speed Cecilia just moments before she zipped away from her mother and towards the water.
Good times.
More desperate cooling off in the water.
Elijah and Elena.
Our friend Brandi with her darling baby boy Seven.
And lots of family photos.
Missing:
My sister Melody and her husband Bryan and their children Jacob, Haylee and Carson, who we saw later at the airport in Houston, Texas on the way back to France.
And Mike's children Alicia and Sterling - we missed them so much.
The present grand-kids: Alex, Elijah, Elena, Gabriela, Samuel, Alannah, Cecilia.
Too long for them, had to bribe them with red vines and there were still tears!
The siblings.
Andrew & Rachelle & Alannah.
Jerry & Roberta & Samuel & Cecilia.
Fred & Kelsey & Elijah.
Sergio & Mike with Mom & Dad.
Us.
That about sums it up.
It was a happy day to be all together and even if we were missing a few,
we really missed you and were thinking of you!
And it was so good to be reunited.
It's all about family!
